CPI up 2.5 per cent last 12 months
From April 2024 to April 2025 the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.5 per cent, while the CPI adjusted for tax changes and excluding energy products (CPI-ATE) rose by 3.0 per cent. The CPI increased by 0.7 per cent from March 2025 to April 2025, while the CPI-ATE increased by 0.5 per cent in the same period.
Significant reduction in price inflation on exported goods
The prices that Norwegian industrial producers received for their goods on the export market were 3.6 per cent higher in April this year compared to the same month last year. This is a significant decrease from the corresponding price increase in March, which was 10 per cent. From March to April this year, prices for exported manufactured goods decreased by just under 3 per cent.
Salmon price in the period of April 28th – May 4th
In the period of April 28th – May 4th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 75.35 per kilo, down by 15.5 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.
